Ballet Dance

Ballet is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements. Classes are divided by level based on teacher recommendations and include traditional barre and center work focused on ballet principles. Students will gain an understanding of ballet steps, enabling the development of classical ballet technique.  The techniques found in classical ballet are a framework for many styles of dance, including modern, jazz, contemporary and lyrical, as well as baton twirling, and will facilitate further success in these disciplines. Ballet develops all of the qualities essential to the dancer: balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity, “ballon”, etc. It is classic in its purity and clear-cut style.

We offer beginner ballet classes for ages 3 and up. Ballet dance classes range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the level. Dress: pink ballet shoes, classical pink tights, solid black leotard, hair in neat bun with no bangs.
